The Facts about the oil and gas industry and our GREEN DREAMS

Obama and McCain Have Now Defined Themselves.

Posted by rrrocks on September 8, 2008

Biden is an insider with a record of not reaching across party lines. Obama is a newcomer with a small record of not making decisions. To many non votes for my comfort level.

McCain is an insider who has a record of reaching across party lines. Palin is an outsider with not much experience but who is truly a fiscal conservative with somewhat of a record of going after corruption.

The two groups have defined themselves now. Its up to the voters to believe which version of change we can believe in.

McCain/Palin who sincerely have a record of going after corruption and earmarks. Or Obama/Biden who have no such record and who only talk the talk.

Im undecided but on this main issue of the campaign I believe the edge is strongly in favor of the Republicans.

The voters will decided.

Gallop Daily Tracking Poll.  McCain 48 percent.  Obama 45 percent.

What Palin Really Said.

Posted by rrrocks on September 1, 2008

When asked is she would be interested in the VP slot several months back she responded:

She said she couldn’t answer  “until somebody answers for me what is it exactly that the VP does every day. I’m used to being very productive and working real hard in an administration. We want to make sure that that VP slot would be a fruitful type of position, especially for Alaskans and for the things that we’re trying to accomplish up here….”

The left is spining it as if she is some kind of moron who doesnt have a clue about anything.

Obama said: “This shouldn’t be part of our politics. It has no relevance to Gov. Palin’s performance as a governor or potential performance as a vice president. So I would strongly urge people to back off these kinds of stories.”

Yeah this is perfect.  Let the stories go on for days until the smear is complete then profer righteous indignation.  What a guy.

I Am Running For President.

Posted by rrrocks on August 30, 2008

It is with the greatest of pleasure that I announce that I am now running for president of the UnUnited States.

My resume.

I was once in a city hall. Im a US citizen. I was born in America. At least my parents claim that is so. I do have a birth certificate from a hospital in America. But it could be fake. But Im trusting they didnt lie to me.

I have never had any kids out of wedlock. Well maybe I did and the girl just didn’t tell me.

I have never had an abortion but them Im a man. Does that count?

I have always paid my taxes. Well not always. I once forgot to claim a gift I got. It wasnt much. Just a new home in……….I fergit what country it was in. I’m not sure if Im supposed to pay taxes on that secret off shore bank account or not.

My wife was from a very poor family. They only were worth about 50 million when we married.

I am very patriotic. I dont wear a lapel pin. I was in the military but only served 3 years and was never taken prisioner. I never fled the battlefield. At least thats what I claim and anyone who might say otherwise is prolly dead already since Im so fricken old that there is no way they coulda lived this long.

I own a gun. Its required that my Vice President own a gun and know how to shoot people…..er shoot stuff.

I have 5 kids and I am pretty sure that I have never learned how to “pull out” of anything in my life. I have the audacity to believe that If you try hard enough, long enough you will win.

I played Basketball. I hear its a requirement for public office now.

I was at a rodeo a while back and I noticed that most of the people did not remove their hats nor put their hands over their heart when the Star Spangled Banner was played. I was saddened.

I have spent much time in Holiday Inn Expresses.

I have managed to anger almost everyone who leans left  which would make me a good righty for president.  This makes me the perfect candidate to Unite America.  At least half of it.

I balance my checkbook every month. I do not spend more then I make but then I make millions from book deals so its impossible to spend more then I make.

I understand the common man. I have my chaufer drive me down to the projects and I walk the streets for a couple blocks then go back to me rich neighborhood and hang with my new homie friends.

I promise only one thing. I will squander the national treasury and will walk away from the White House with more strife and contention that is conceivably possible while I pad my offshore bank account with millions, maybe even billions from special interests as I whore myself out to anyone who wants something done.

After 4 years in office I DO SOLEMNLY SWEAR to Balance MY budget…..er I mean the national budget.

Im John Joeseph Barak McBama and I approve this message. Incidently from now on you can call me Sarah.(Betty)

Why Hillary Clinton Will Not Be Sincere In Her Speech Tonight.

Posted by rrrocks on August 26, 2008

Many roads have been travelled this election year.  Many things have been implied.  Many things have been said.  But nothing could have been more destructive then accusations that were made about Hillary and Bill Clinton during this primary season that will never be healed and will be points of contention for years to come within the Democratic party.

Losing to Obama would have been okay if this one thing had not transpired.   Playing second fiddle to Barak Obama would have been okay had this one thing not happened.

“Jesse Jackson,” said Bill Clinton, “won South Carolina twice, in ’84 and ’88. And he ran a good campaign, and Sen. Obama’s run a good campaign here.” Clinton gave this response in South Carolina to a reporter’s question about why it took two Clintons to beat Barack Obama. Clinton’s response had nothing whatsoever to do with the question.

This expression of fact turned Bill Clinton into a racist on the cutthroat world of politics.

Bill Clinton said it most. Said it best. Said it with so much emotion that his voice was quivering and he refused to carry on the interview.

“They accused me. Hillary of being racists and ………….”

It was the legacy that Bill Clinton cherished most. It was the thing he worked for so hard in his life. It was his personal assurances to Jesse Jackson and the black community that he would be their champion and was………….until this election.

Everything he had worked his entire life for was shot down in a few short months by this one thing………….And he and Hillary are supposed to be quiet, be good soldiers and like it……………………The democrats dont even understand what transpired under their own noses and I find that truly amazing this election year.

Barak Obama Shows Poor Judgment in Picking His New VP.

I am sure Hillary Clinton and the rest of the antiwar types are scratching their heads right now.  If you remember Obama used to say anyone who voted for the WAR showed bad judgment and was not fit to lead this country.  Now he has nominated a VP running mate who by his own definition should not be fit to run this country.

Obama has shown poor judgment.

Is President Bush Violating the Constitution With His War In Iraq?

Posted by rrrocks on August 22, 2008

While GWB might have said something during the run up to Iraq about the fact that he did not need authorization from congress the facts are that he did not go to war in Iraq alone and without consent.

In fact he was authorized to attack Afghanistan and Iraq both by the congress of the United States.

The resolution itself is a single sentence, adopted unanimously by the Senate and with only one dissenting vote in the House of Representatives. It provides the president with sweeping but vaguely defined authority “to use all necessary and appropriate force against those nations, organizations, or persons he determines planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001.”

This is the single problem with the war on terror. It was such a vague and ill defined authorization that the president in his zeal to kill terrorists and to protect America left behind sane reasoning to an extent. He did not have to lie about Iraq to go into Iraq. He simply had to show they supported terrorism or more precisely that they had supported Al Quaida.

It was a WELL known fact that Saddam Hussein was sending a yearly paycheck to suicide bombers famlies that blew up Israelis. This alone gave him the permission by congress to invade Iraq.

This is precisely why for such a long time the antiwar screamed that there was no Al Quida in Iraq and that Saddam Hussein had no connections at all with Al Quida. I think both sides became so zealous in their positions that they forgot what they were fighting for.

The lie continues to be that their is something impeachable about Bush and his actions. There is not and this is why the entire democratic leadership will not even touch the impeachment proceedings.

That still does not mean I favor or approved of being in Iraq or Afghanistan but I do not have to twist the dayumn truth to fit my political beliefs. If we want to impeach someone………….how about we start with the 537 congressmen and senators who authorized the presidents actions with totalitarian authority????

Wind Is Not Oil.

Posted by rrrocks on August 18, 2008

The United States uses 1.5 percent of all oil to fuel electricity and heat homes. That is 350,000 Barrels of oil per day out of 20.5 million.

Build all the Wind, solar, Geothermal, Tidal, Hydro, Nuk a Lar plants you want. IT WILL NOT AFFECT OIL PRICES IN THE LEAST.

OIL FUELS TRANSPORATION. PERIOD. What will lower fuel prices is either lower demand or more Oil. Drilling for oil is the only way to get more oil on the market.

Do not let the Democrats convince you that Wind mills are going to solve our energy problems. Right now 98.5 percent of all electricity is fueled by coal, gas, hydro, wind, Nuk a Lar. 1.5 percent is fueled by Oil. Building a zillion wind turbines and solar panels is not going to bring the price of oil down more then a couple cents.

That said.  I absolutely advocate Green.  I want all the renewables that we can bring online.  The GOP are Liars if they advocate we cannot do green.  It is not the oil companies fault that oil is this high.  It is world demand and a congress that has taken away the best drilling spots because the oil industry was careless and allowed lots of oil spillage during their offshore drilling days.

However it is now a national security interest.  These huge oil prices have caused gasoline to shoot up, food prices to shoot up and the prices of manufactured goods to shoot up because oil is so highly priced.  Democrats want to punish the Oil companies and yet it is oil that drives our economy.  Their intense desire to punish the oil companies means they want to punish, Winnebago, Harley Davidson, Ford, GM, Chrysler, Evinrude, Air Stream………….Holiday Inn, Marriott, Days Inn, The travel industry, Airlines, parts dealerships, car washes, car dealerships………..They want to put millions of Americans out of work.

They say well but the new green industry will put those people back to work in new green jobs.  Oh will those in Detroit move to Wyoming to service windmills?  Will those working on GM assembly lines move to Arizona to install solar panels?  I think not.  This is nothing more then a massive redistribution of wealth by the democratic party with only the interest of the Greenies in their own party.

People who have not thought through very well the repercussions of their stance.  Going green is good.  But not at the expense of the solvency of the American dream.

Barak Obama Where He Stands.

Posted by rrrocks on August 18, 2008

Asked at what point a baby gets “human rights,” Obama, who strongly supports abortion rights, said: “… whether you’re looking at it from a theological perspective or a scientific perspective, answering that question with specificity … is above my pay grade.”

Translation. He believes in Abortion and abortion advocates believe that thing in your belly aint alive till it squirts out of the hole. It was painfully obvious that he knew this question was coming. He is 48 years old and hes had 48 years to develop his position on Abortion. His response is I dont KNOW?? As for me at 20 years old I knew what my response to Abortion was and I havent changed my mind since no matter how much new information has become available.

Although Barack Obama has said that he supports civil unions, he is against gay marriage. In an interview with the Chicago Daily Tribune, Obama said, “I’m a Christian. And so, although I try not to have my religious beliefs dominate or determine my political views on this issue, I do believe that tradition, and my religious beliefs say that marriage is something sanctified between a man and a woman.”

Barack Obama did vote against a Federal Marriage Amendment and opposed the Defense of Marriage Act in 1996. Translation. Barak Obama is a strong supporter of Gay rights and believes according to his own words that if a gay couple choose to get married it will not affect his own marriage. This is a typical talking point of the gay rights advocates.  Thiis was another two step.  He was pandering to the religious right while being a full supporter of Gay rights.   Take a stand Senator.  You are becoming the most transparent politician in history.  Anything for a vote.

My interest is in making sure we’ve got the kind of comprehensive energy policy that can bring down gas prices,” Obama said in an interview with The Palm Beach Post.

“If, in order to get that passed, we have to compromise in terms of a careful, well thought-out drilling strategy that was carefully circumscribed to avoid significant environmental damage — I don’t want to be so rigid that we can’t get something done.”

Translation. Obama plans on pretending to want to drill for Oil only long enough to get elected. Once elected he will go back to the democratic talking point which is that drilling for oil will not reduce our dependence on oil or lower the price of oil on world markets. I can only assume this based upon two things. Politicians are liars. Obama is a politician.

Barak Obama has been praising T. Boone Pickens “Pickens Plan” (see side bar for link) as being a man of vision working for energy independence for America.

LISTEN TO ME…………WIND POWER WILL NOT LOWER OIL PRICES. WIND WILL NOT POWER YOUR CARS, TRUCKS, TRACTORS, AIRCRAFT, MILITARY VEHICLES. This continues to be the Democrats version of the Texas Two step on energy. Fake out and lie to the American people. Deflect the argument and once the election is over and they are in power they will push their green agenda with gasoline still painfully high.

IN THE MEANTIME Nations like Russia will wallow in OIL wealth because the democrats want battery cars while China pollutes the world into the stone age.

An Energy Proposal.

Posted by rrrocks on July 26, 2008

Alternatives are good.   I do not like Nuk a lar because it is too controversial.  People are never going to accept nuk a lar and so it really needs to be tabled by both parites.  For once I agree with my energy opponents on this issue.  Any money being funneled into nuk a lar by the energy department needs to stop and be sent elsewhere.

In America there are about 5 million rural farms and ranches and people just living outside of town on 2-50 acres of land.  Especially in the midwest and west.  The government should adopt massive incentives for these people to build a wind turbine on their property in addition to installing solar panels.  The cost is about $44,000 dollars to do such.  These could ALL be tied into the grids all over the country.

If the cost to the consumer is 44k then the government could pay for this up front with a fund set up that would take probably 10 years to complete.  The grids that receive the additional power would then pay larger taxes based upon the estimated cost savings to the power company by the amount of electricity generated and put back into the grid.  This money would go back into the Government coffers to continue to fund further expansion of the grid until the point was reached in which no more Solar or Wind turbines were needed.

The US governement spending 4-6 billion per year on building these would be inconsequential.  And would spawn a new Green industry.  Manufacture, sales and Service of these components.  The private sector does the work with initial funding by the US government.  Problem solved.

The reality is that I believe McCain will be handed the largest loss in US history unless his party returns to their senses, adopts a fiscally responsible platform, that is deadly serious about balancing the budget once and for all and paying down the debt.   They must realize that the Reaganomics of trickle down does not work if the economy is not expanding and its hard to expand the economy without allowing a massive influx of immigrants into this nation.

So they need to get their priorities right.  Raise taxes moderately, cut the military. Funding cuts accross the board and a national sales tax used exclusively to pay down the debt.  Yes its going to be hard.  This is the perfect time to do it.  By doing this it will actually shrink the economy for a couple years while the Automakers can get hybrids and Electric vehicles to market.  By taxing and shrinking the economy the prices of oil will come down as will the price at the pump.

The ball is in the court of the GOP because the Democrats only want their turn to spend and spend and spend.  They want to expand the government, add new programs, increase spending and then blame the gop for ever increasing Budget deficits.  In addition now they want to fight a war in Afghanistan by escalating and raising the costs and the stakes there.

Obama wants to tax the rich but give it back to the poor.  Nothing gained other then now we get to penalize the rich too.  Don’t people realize that the people most affected by oil prices are the poor……not the rich.  I can pay 12 dollars a gallon for gasoline.  I dont want to but I can.  I have the money to do so.  However 85 percent of the people in this country cant even pay 4-5 dollars by evidence of a recession due to gas prices.

The GOP has the ball.  They just dont realize that they have the ball.

Fuel Cell Cars. A Long Way To Go.

Posted by rrrocks on July 17, 2008

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) — Hydrogen-powered vehicles could one day make up a majority of automobiles on U.S. roads, but the zero-emission cars would require a hefty investment of about $200 billion for infrastructure and subsidies to support them, a new study released Thursday said.
The study concludes that a portfolio of technologies — including hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles, improved efficiency of gasoline-powered vehicles, hybrids and use of biofuels — “has the potential to nearly eliminate oil demand from light-duty vehicles by the middle of this century, while reducing greenhouse-gas emissions to less than 20% of current levels.”
Ill let their article speak for itself. Theres an old Axiom in the world of Energy. NOTHING IS FREE.
